Bread stamp

Wooden stamp for eulogia bread in the shape of a tree, date of manufacture unknown from Egypt. The tree alludes to the concept of Heaven and probably symbolizes the tree of life.

This stamp is part of Loulis Mills private collection of 500 bread stamps dating from the 5th to the 20th century.
