Eucharistic bread stamps, 18th-19th century

This group includes stamps from Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Attica, the Peloponnese, Thasos, the Ionian Islands and Crete. The design of the stamps continues to follow traditional models from previous centuries, with one noteworthy innovation which is evident on a number of 19th-century stamps: the inclusion of the date (often the exact date) on which the stamp was made, engraved along with the name of the engraver or the owner of the stamp.
